Dropout and Correction of Academic Records

Dropoutarow
Dropout

- When students are admitted or permitted to transfer to another university while in school, they must submit a dropout application before admission.

- Failure to do so will result in dual registration, and the affected students will be subject to penalties under the regulations and policies of both universities.

- Students wishing to drop out for other reasons may do so.

Dropout application process
  • Students wishing to drop out must complete the dropout application form (a designated form) for guardian consent (signature or seal). Next, they must consult with their academic advisor and obtain a signature. Information on academic advisors is available at SAINT..
  • Students are then required to visit the Office of Financial Affairs (first floor of the main building) to settle any unpaid tuition fees.
  • They also need to visit the library’s lending office (located in Hall 1) to return books as well as settle overdue charges for which the confirmation (signature or seal) of the person in charge is required.
  • Finally, students must visit the One Stop Service Station (first floor of the main building) and submit a dropout application.

※ For foreign students, additional documents (passport and a copy of alien registration card) must be submitted.

Important dropout-related notes

- While on a leave of absence, students are allowed to drop out regardless of the date on the academic calendar.

- However, when an active student submits a dropout application after the “end-of-semester exam period” on the academic calendar for the relevant academic year, he or she is recognized as having earned the grades and completed the semester before his or her application is duly processed.

※ In the above case, the dropout approval dates for the first and second semesters are after mid-July and after mid-January of the following year, respectively.

- Foreign dropouts must leave Korea within one month of the dropout date (due to the expiration of the student visa).
