Recognition of Grades and Credits

Grade evaluationarow

Grade evaluation

Midterm grades and end-of-semester grades reflect all exams, class attendance, assignments, and quizzes recorded from the beginning of the semester until grading.

Grade notification

  • Students can check their midterm and final grades through SAINT.
  • The transcript lists letter and numerical grades by course, credits registered for and earned, and total grade points and GPA for a given semester. Cumulative credits registered for and earned and cumulative total grade points and CGPA for all completed semesters are also recorded in the transcript.

Grade corrections

  • Grades entered by the professor in charge of the course and submitted to the Office of the Registrar of Academic Affairs cannot be arbitrarily corrected by the professor or the staff members in charge.
  • However, in the case of obvious errors, the professor in charge must submit a grade correction form with supporting documents such as exam answer sheets within one week of the start of the following semester. When the University president is informed by the dean of academic affairs and deems it reasonable, permission for correction may be granted.

Grade distribution

Grade distribution, which is based on relative evaluation, is as follows. However, exceptions can be made when deemed appropriate by the dean of academic affairs.

-

Grade A: less than 30%

-

Sum of grades A and B: less than 70%

Courses not subject to relative evaluation

  • Courses with less than 20 students
  • Labs and practical courses
  • Education and teaching courses
  • Global communication (advanced) courses
  • English-medium courses (excluding general English education)
  • Basic graduate courses
  • Graduation thesis (special research)
  • Military science courses
